How long does custom framing take?

Most orders are finished in one to two weeks. Timing depends on the moulding and glazing selected — if something needs to be ordered in, we tell you at the counter rather than after.

How much does a custom frame cost?

Standard sizes start around $50. Final price depends on dimensions, moulding, mat and glazing. We quote the exact figure before any work begins.

Can I walk in, or do I need an appointment?

Walk-ins are welcome during opening hours. If you are bringing something large, fragile or unusually valuable, call ahead on (646) 486-3781 so we can give it proper attention.

Do you deliver?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Free delivery on most orders in and around Chelsea. For deliveries outside the neighbourhood, ask us and we will quote it.

Question 5

Can you re-frame something that is already framed?

Accepted Answer

Often, yes. Bring it in and we will look at the condition of the piece and the existing materials. If an old mat or backing is acidic and starting to damage the work, re-framing with archival materials is usually the right call.
